OLW162 - Grateful

Does this ever happen to you? I have stared at this word for so long it makes no sense to me. None at all. I was half convinced that the stamp company (MFT) had made a typo.

Assuming that they didn't, and that this is indeed a word, then I love this card! I love the graphic shapes of the leaves (masked using an Avery Elle die) in the warm autumn colours (from my Pumpkin Patch and Autumn Leaves Kaleidecolor pads) and all that white space!

Heather is hosting this week's One Layer Wednesday challenge and it's to include a leaf (or leaves) into your one layer card. I hope you'll join us!

  2. That happens to me Ardyth! I'll look at very simple words and think there is no way it is spelled properly! The grateful looks awesome over the colors!

  11. Oh yes, it happens every time I look at a word for too long. All of the sudden it looks totally weird.
But your card is just beautiful!

  12. This is very beautiful, and I believe that it really is a word. Sometimes, staring at a word too long will do that to a person.

  13. Stunning colors so perfectly masked and stamped! The block letters are bang on with the dark colors, anything less would have been 'lost' in the leaves!

  17. Ardyth, this happens to me all the time! Words confound me sometimes...I'll be writing one out and all of sudden stop to question...'whoever decided that "neighbour" should have a 'gh' in it was out of his mind". yes, i'm assuming it WAS a man ;)
Your card design is gorgeous. I love how the ink colors are so true even though overlapped...beautiful!
